Filling
- Pastry for one 9" pie crust
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried ground oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
Combine all ingredients and spread in pie crust.
Cheese topping
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese
Mix together and spread over filling.
Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes, covering the edges with foil for the last 10 minutes.
