Cinnamon scones

  • 2 and 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 and 1/3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup cinnamon chips

Preheat oven to 375

Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in food processor and blend for 1 minute.

Cut butter into 4-6 pieces and put in flour mixture. Pulse 10-12 times.

Remove bowl and add cinnamon chips. Stir cream into mixture. Stir just long enough to form dough.

Place dough onto floured surface. Bring together dough - be careful not to overwork. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with round biscuit cutter (or cut into triangles). Place on parchment lined baking sheet.

Brush with additional cream and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake 13-15 minutes.
